Recently, the Oujiang River?Water Diversion Project – a key water conservancy and livelihood project of Zhejiang Province and the largest water conservancy project ever built in Wenzhou, undertaken with the participation of China Railway No.10 Engineering Group – has successfully completed trial water conveyance. The project has now entered the operational commissioning phase, laying a solid foundation for its official commissioning and operation.
The Oujiang River?Water Diversion Project diverts high-quality water from the upper reaches of the Oujiang River, running from west to east through areas including Zeya and Chashan in Ouhai District. The project features 14 water distribution outlets, with a total water conveyance length of 81 kilometers, including 61 kilometers of main pipeline and 20 kilometers of branch lines. The average annual water diversion volume is expected to reach 743 million cubic meters, benefiting approximately 4.2 million people upon completion. The section undertaken by China Railway No.10 Engineering Group spans 6.7 kilometers and includes drill-and-blast tunnels, TBM tunnels, shield tunnels, and shaft works, characterized by complex geological conditions and multiple risk factors.
